My name is Riccardo Del Togno,
I was born and live in Sondrio Lombardy Italy.
I am fond of birds since I was a child, I spent whole days during each season to watch the birds, I was already a birdwatcher but I did not know it yet. Also because this word was unknown at the time.
I gave myself the nickname of Tringa solitaria because, due to many reasons then as now, I am almost watching the birds alone.
In the late eighties I met other people fond of birds like me, and from there I started my life as “ornitobirder” , the way I like to call myself .
Also thanks to my polyglot wife Natali I managed and I still can travel even with my son Edgardo in the Palaearctic Region in search of ever greater satisfactions.
